The Gaslight Anthem - 59 Sound
It’s been a wee while since I posted some music and what I have been listening too. Well at the moment - can’t get enough of this band; The Gaslight Anthem. Have been listening pretty much non-stop on my headphones in the office to their 3 albums. This track is a particular favourite and the louder it gets turned up the better it is! Enjoy! Just wanted to wish everyone a Happy New Year. I hope everyone had a good time on Hogmanay. Mine was spent DJing in the Stables Bar in Kinloch Rannoch. This was fun but didn’t realise how hard it is to select so many “cheesy” songs that keep people on the dance floor! I hope everyone has a successful and enjoyable 2011. Slanj a va! Aw the best!
Your Christmas Card awaits!
So last Wednesday in a break in the snow, I headed to Edinburgh to see one of my favourite bands of all time play. Idlewild are Scottish and the collection of music they have built up over the last decade or so have influenced many. Their live sound is absolutely magic and the concert in the Liquid Rooms was one of the best I have been too for a while. You just cannae beat live music. Have a watch at an old but well known single - American English. More videos available on aliptv
Biffy Clyro - Many of Horror
The real X-Factor winner? Don’t mind that Matt guy - he has a good voice and seems like a nice guy. But until he writes and performs his own songs then the only number one single should be for the band who went through the sweat, blood and tears of writing songs…! More videos available on aliptv
A Friday afternoon song called Back Down South from the fantastic Kings of Leon.
Interesting article showcasing some excellent new designs and good source material.
Admiral Fallow - Old Balloons
Another great new Scottish band that I am tipping for big things in 2011. Their debut album “Boots Met My Face” is a terrific listen. More videos available on aliptv
